Steel Wool Burning:
St Albans Camera Club is holding a Steel Wool burning event on December 13th. For those of you who have not attempted this, some steel wool is stuffed in the end of a metal whisk, which is in turn connected to a lanyard. The steel wool is then set alight and when swung around emits fire and sparks. Using a long exposure the effects can be stunning. We have been extremely fortunate to have St Albans Fire Brigade assist us with this event and lend us their parade ground. Anyone wishing to come along and watch are very welcome, but I am afraid that you will need to be a member to participate. I will of course post some images after the event.
October 31st
